Hindukush Heights specializes in organizing and conducting trekking in the area connecting Northern Chitral to Swat, Gilgit and Hunza. This is really a trekkers paradise and one can choose treks from two days to eighteen days over a variety of passes ranging from 3000M to 5000M. The wooden chalets of Hindukush Heights at the historic Mastry Fort makes an ideal base for trekking. The Chalets built in a spacious fruit garden, are also a favourite destination for family groups wanting to spend their holiday with their young children. The place offers serene and secure environment close to nature and yet with all the creature comforts.
A Typical trekking day: (5 to 6 hours of walking)
The start is early after a wholesome sit-down breakfast inside a mess tent. The guide and porters are
dismantling the tents and packing up your bags while you are having breakfast. The mess tent and the
toilet tents are the last to be packed. You set off carrying only a water bottle, camera and walking stick.
The porters carry everything else unless you would prefer to carry a small sack for candies and creams /
medicines. The pace is set by the guide in a manner to keep the group together and also give enough
time for photography etc. A scenic spot is selected to give packed lunch on a table with camp stools
around it. The lunch place will normally have a mountain spring to replenish your water bottles.
The walk after lunch will be just sufficient to allow enough day light to pitch up tents, do some cooking
and washing in order to have an early dinner and yet have enough time for tea and gossip around the
camp fire.
Hindukush heights arranges treks ranging from three days to as much as ten days. There are many treks
